Students’ Debate on Infectious Disease conducted at Mekelle University

A debate on anthrax and Toxoplasmosis was conducted at Mekelle University among students from various disciplines. In this debate students’ knowledge and experience on the understanding of the disease, its etiology, transmission methods, clinical signs, detection and response, as well as outbreak investigation in line with GHSA, was assessed. On the debate multidisciplinary students from medicine, public health officers, nurses, midwives, pharmacists and veterinarians participated. Over two hundred (228) students participated in the debate which was judges by a panel of judges to  assess the student’s knowledge and experience on disease detection, prevention and response in line with the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA). Finally certificates were awarded to the winning groups.
